THE STORY OF ATTI NOLA
The first thing we came up with was South Indian cuisine because we were craving our home food, which is often rich, bold, and spicy. SIDDHARTH, VISHNU, and RISHAP decided to start a South Indian pop-up in New Orleans called Atti NOLA. "Atti" was the first-ever name we decided on, and we introduced ourselves as the first South Indian pop-up in the city.
"Atti," in our slang, means the local spot or adda—a place where people gather to connect and share. Our specialty dish, the parotta, is a flaky, layered bread that holds a special place in our hearts as an emotion-filled staple from South India. We started with just one pop-up a week, but as days passed, we increased to five. People discovered us through our content, and soon we were participating in bigger events like Top Tacos and the NOLA Night Market, bringing our vibrant flavors to even more food lovers.
